The Santa Rosa Sailing Club is based in Santa Rosa, California, 50 miles north of the Golden Gate. We have been an active, family oriented club since 1953, and membership is open to anyone interested in sailing. For 2012, we have scheduled over 40 days of sailing events, throughout the year. Our members' boats range in size from the 8' El Toro to 36' bay racer/cruisers. Some of our members are always looking for crew, so you don't need to own a boat to participate. And, during the Summer Twilight Series, the club has arranged for rental boats through the City of Santa Rosa. We sail on lakes large (Clear Lake) and small (Spring Lake), Tomales Bay, the Petaluma River, and San Francisco Bay. We have non-racing, racing, and mixed events throughout the year.

This time, we sailed in the company of numerous paddlers downriver to Lakeville Marina (@ Papa's Taverna). After a wonderful picnic lunch, we sailed upwind and upriver to Petaluma Marina. A wonderful day was had by all. See the cruise report in the May 2012 Telltale. Join us in October for this now twice-yearly cruise! As always, kayakers, canoeists, and rowers are welcome - - swimmers, not so much! Upper Petaluma River Chart. Turning Basin Map. Annual Banquet: Saturday, January 21, 2012, at Cattlemens Restaurant, Montgomery Village, Santa Rosa. It was an evening of good food, better company, and the best sailing stories, ever.
